On February 19, 2024, the K.Kulazhanov Kazakh University of Technology and Business held an international round table on the topic "Tourism and Hospitality industry of Kazakhstan: modern trends and prospects", timed to coincide with the opening of the "Week of the Department of Tourism and Service", with the participation of representatives of government agencies, business and the education system.
The main objective of the event is to exchange views on the conditions and problems of the development of the tourism and hospitality industry in the current period, as well as to discuss promising areas for the development of transformations in the field of tourism and hospitality, to develop recommendations for improving its competitiveness and sustainability.

Within the framework of the Week of the Department of Tourism and Service, a Competition of author's developments of virtual excursions "The best author's development of excursions", a competition among students in the educational program "Restaurant business and hotel business "The best barmen", a competition of research works on educational programs of the department, master classes from representatives of employers on lectures and practical classes is provided.
