Kazakh University of Technology and Business offers training in 25 bachelor’s degree educational programs and 11 master’s degree educational programs. Instruction is provided in Kazakh and Russian.

The University continuously monitors the quality of instruction through regular surveys of students, faculty members, and employers, aimed at improving the quality of educational services.

Documents Required for Admission

To apply for admission to the Kazakh University of Technology and Business (KazUTB), international applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Application form;
  • Original education document and its transcript;
  • Two notarized copies of the education document and its transcript, translated into the state (Kazakh) or Russian language and notarized within the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Identity document (passport) — a notarized copy with translation into the state (Kazakh) or Russian language (the translation must be notarized in the Republic of Kazakhstan and submitted in three copies);
  • Copy of a foreign language proficiency certificate:
    • TOEFL — minimum score 560, or
    • IELTS — minimum score 6.0 (English),
      (if available);
  • Certificate of recognition and nostrification of education documents;
  • Medical certificate No. 075-U and a chest X-ray (fluorography);
  • Individual Identification Number (IIN) of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Photographs size 3×4 cm8 copies.

Procedure for Nostrification of Education Documents

How to undergo the nostrification procedure?

Education documents issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo the nostrification procedure in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

When submitting an application for recognition and nostrification of education documents, the following documents must be attached and submitted to the Nostrification Center / Public Service Center (CSN):

  • Application for recognition of education documents;
  • Notarized copies of the education document and its transcript, translated into the state (Kazakh) or Russian language and notarized in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Identity document (passport) — notarized copy with translation into the state (Kazakh) or Russian language, notarized in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Identity document of the authorized representative (for identification purposes) and a document confirming authorization if the application is submitted by a representative on behalf of the applicant;
  • Payment receipt confirming the payment of the nostrification fee.
Enrollment in the University

Enrollment of international applicants who have successfully passed the interview and are entering programs taught in Kazakh or Russian, under direct contracts on a paid basis, is carried out from August 10 to August 25 of the current academic year.

Dormitory Accommodation

The university provides student dormitories for incoming and international students. Accommodation is allocated by the faculty deans in accordance with the approved Regulations on the Procedure for Providing Accommodation to Students and the Rules for Living in KazUTB Student Dormitories.

Initial Registration with the Migration Service

Upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan, international students must be registered with the Migration Service of the Police Department in Nur-Sultan within 5 days after crossing the border.

To complete registration, international students must submit the following documents to the International Cooperation and Academic Mobility Office of KazUTB (Block №1, 6th floor, Room 604) for subsequent processing with the Migration Police Department of Nur-Sultan:

  • Valid identity document (passport) with a visa for entry and residence in Kazakhstan. For citizens of countries with visa-free agreements, a visa is not required.
  • Migration card with the border-crossing mark issued by officials of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan at the border crossing point.
  • Application for registration (filled out on-site).

To extend the registration period with the Migration Service, the student must contact the International Cooperation and Academic Mobility Office of KazUTB one month before the registration expires.

Academic Mobility

At KazUTB, international students have the opportunity to participate in academic mobility and student exchange programs.

Academic mobility at the university is carried out in two main directions:

  • Study at partner universities within Kazakhstan
  • Study at foreign universities abroad

Mobility programs are implemented within the framework of agreements between partner universities.
