Student of K.Kulazhanov Kazakh University of Technology and Business Promoted Kazakh Wrestling at a National Event Attended by the President

On March 21–22, 2025, the Nauryz celebration was held on a grand scale at the Ethnoaul located at the EXPO Exhibition Center in Astana. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

As part of the celebration, a third-year IT student of K.Kulazhanov Kazakh University of Technology and Business, Nurkhan Ganimatov, presented the national sport — Kazakh wrestling (Qazaq kuresi) — and shared its historical and cultural importance with the audience.

Qazaq kuresi is a reflection of national identity and pride. Representing this heritage at a state-level event in the presence of the Head of State is a great honor and demonstrates the younger generation’s dedication to preserving and promoting national traditions.
