On February 9, 2025, as part of the Department of “Tourism and Service” Week, a competitive and entertaining event “Come On, Girls!” was held in the assembly hall of the university dormitory.
Purpose and objectives of the event — to develop students’ creative abilities, foster a positive atmosphere in the dormitory, reveal the individuality and talents of students; to build self-confidence and communication skills; and to create a friendly and festive environment.
The competition consisted of four stages:
1st stage — “Business Card”
Self-presentation of the participants: name, course/faculty, hobbies, and an interesting fact about themselves.
2nd stage — Intellectual contest “Student Wit”
Participants had to demonstrate resourcefulness and answer the questions provided.
3rd stage — “Student Menu”
The task was to come up with and prepare a quick breakfast from the provided ingredients.
4th stage — “Dormitory Hostess: Useful Life Hack”
Each participant demonstrated two life hacks aimed at making dormitory life more convenient: creating comfort or quick ways to tidy up.
The participants were: Ayzhan Kozhabekova, Diana Yerganova, Aktolkyn Karatay, Dilyara Tleubergenova who demonstrated creativity, wit, knowledge, and the ability to create a festive atmosphere.
Competition results:
- 1st place — Aktolkyn Karatay (International Tourism-251/1)
- 2nd place — Ayzhan Kozhabekova (International Tourism-252/2)
- 3rd place — Diana Yerganova (International Tourism-252/2) and Dilyara Tleubergenova (Standardization and Certification -251/2)
The winners and participants were awarded certificates and memorable prizes.
