The trip was organized by Larisa Islyamovna Kusainova, PhD in Economics and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Management, and Arystanbek Serikuly, Deputy Director of the enterprise.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached with the Head of Aikomek, Mr. Arystanbek Mazhenov, on developing cooperation and providing opportunities for internship and practical training for undergraduate and graduate students of the educational programs “Public and Local Administration” and “Management” at the Municipal Enterprise “City Monitoring and Rapid Response Center.” Amir Kanatovich Nurmukhambetov, a graduate student from the SLG SPD group 252, commented on his impressions: «We were given a tour of the office and explained how the various departments operate. We learned about the call center operators' work and the challenges they face daily, how residents' inquiries are received, and how the video monitoring department operates. It was fascinating to listen to a presentation on monitoring and emergency response, featuring real-life examples of the department's work, from identifying traffic accidents to unusual cases such as unauthorized garbage collection. I realized that iKomek is an integral part of ensuring city security. We also received a lecture on the company's values, corporate spirit, and the application of international best practices. It was gratifying to see such a strong focus on teamwork. Overall, the lecture was clear and informative. I would like to thank our instructor for the "Public Administration of Territorial Organization of Society" course, PhD in Economics and Associate Professor Larisa Islyamovna Kusainova, for her support and organization of the on-site lecture»
Along with the master's students, some first-year students majoring in “State Local Government” wanted to participate in the field trip. In particular, student Akylzhanova Kyzdarkhan noted: «As part of the introductory tour, I visited the Aikomek 109 Operations Management Center. I would like to note the high level of organization and technical equipment of the institution, which ensures the security of the capital. We were shown the internal processes of the system, from the work of analytical modules to the coordination of operational services. Particular attention was paid to how modern technologies make it possible to detect offences and emergency situations at an early stage, often even before a call is received from citizens. This significantly improves response times and reduces risks. It is important to emphasize the scale of the workload on the center's employees. Working around the clock, maintaining a high level of concentration, and being responsible for the decisions made require serious professional training and personal commitment. It is thanks to their work that the city's residents and visitors are protected. I would like to note separately that the activities of Aikomek 109 are not limited to security in the narrow sense. The center is actively involved in solving a wide range of urban issues, from maintaining public order to assisting citizens in emergency situations. This is a real example of how digitalization and competent management improve the quality of life in a metropolis. As a student of Public and Local Administration, I can say that such facilities clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of modern approaches to public administration. The experience of Aikomek 109 deserves attention and replication. I would like to thank the center's staff for their openness and informative tour. I would also like to express my gratitude to our teacher Larisa Islyamovna, who gave us the opportunity to take part in this tour»
