A delegation from the Italian energy company Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi (ENI) visited the K. Kulazhanov Kazakh University of Technology and Business. The visit marked an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the international energy sector and the higher education system of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, representatives of one of the world’s leading companies in oil and gas exploration and production discussed prospects for further partnership with the university’s leadership. Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi is actively involved in the implementation of major energy projects in Kazakhstan, including the development of strategically important fields such as the Kashagan oil field and the Karachaganak oil field — among the largest oil and gas fields in the region.

Special attention during the discussions was given to the training of highly qualified specialists for the oil and gas industry. The parties explored opportunities to develop joint educational and professional initiatives aimed at improving the quality of workforce training and strengthening the connection between academia and industry.

In particular, the participants considered prospects for organizing industrial internships for students, facilitating graduate employment, developing academic exchange programs, implementing joint educational projects, as well as expanding scientific cooperation and establishing collaborations in research and innovation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants emphasized their mutual interest in strengthening partnership relations and expanding cooperation in education and science, as well as in preparing specialists demanded by the modern economy. It was noted that the development of such initiatives will contribute to the formation of a highly qualified human capital and the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
