PRESS RELEASE On the NIRS Competition at the Department of Tourism and Service

At JSC “Kazakh University of Technology and Business named after K. Kulzhanov,” the annual NIRS competition – a competition of student scientific research works – was held. The event is aimed at identifying and supporting the most significant and promising student research projects.

The competition is conducted to stimulate students’ scientific research activity, develop their creative and scientific potential, enhance their research competencies, and prepare the best works for participation in the Republican competition.

Organizer: Department of Tourism and Service
Participants: Undergraduate students of the following programs:

  • 6В11126 – “Restaurant and Hotel Business”
  • 6В11127 – “Tourism”
  • 6В11129 – “International Tourism”

The competition featured relevant scientific and practice-oriented studies in the fields of tourism, hospitality, restaurant business, and innovation.

NIRS Competition Winners: 1st place – research topic: “Roze Marin: Startup Model for the Production of Natural Marinated Meat Semi-Finished Products”. Authors: Temirbay Meirzhan, Akhmetbekova Korlan Scientific Advisor: Mukanova B.Sh.

2nd place – research topics: “Comparative Analysis of Restaurants in the Nura District of Astana” Authors: Kuandyk Kyzgaldak Asylbekkyzy, Nurman Asyl Nurlankyzy (Group MIMB 241/1). Scientific Advisor: Zhanabay A.A.; “Innovative Methods for Training Staff for Hotel Events” Authors: 4th-year students, Group RDGB-222 Scientific Advisor: Yardyakova I.V.

3rd place – research topics: “Qadam – Development of a Tourist Audio Guide Application across Kazakhstan”. Authors: Karaneeva Damira, Ibraeva Darina, Egizbaev Magzhan (Group Tur-241). Scientific Advisor: Kozhanazar Arna Sharkhanbekkyzy;

“Opportunities for the Development of Cultural and Educational Tourism in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan”. Authors: Aizharikova Symbat, Bogenbai Dariya, Bogembai Nurakhat (Group Tur-241). Scientific Advisors: Akhmetova G.B., Dzhangeldina N.N.

The NIRS competition confirmed the high level of student preparation, their interest in scientific activity, and their ability to develop practical and meaningful projects. The presented works stood out for their relevance, innovative approach, and focus on the development of the tourism and service industry.
