The Department of Physical Education was established in August 2025. The department has a modern sports complex with a total area of 1200 m2, which allows conducting educational classes and sports activities.

Department Mission

The purpose of the discipline "Physical Education" is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the field of physical education, to promote a healthy lifestyle, to preserve and strengthen their health, and to improve their physical fitness in order to realize their abilities in everyday activities.

The objectives of studying the discipline. Teaching the discipline involves a comprehensive approach to educational, upbringing, and health-improving tasks, the most important of which are:

- fostering a conscious need for a healthy lifestyle and constant physical self-improvement;

- striving for proper formation and harmonious development of the body's forms and functions;

- acquiring a system of knowledge on the fundamentals of physical education theory and methodology, as well as sports training;

- mastering the values of physical culture and gaining experience in using them for the comprehensive development of the individual;

- ensuring a sufficient level of professional readiness for future specialists, including physical fitness, high levels of performance, and the development of professionally significant physical and psychomotor abilities;

- using physical culture as a means of preventing various diseases and promoting health.

- mastering knowledge and skills in self-control and independent assessment of the functional state of the body;

- involving students in active physical education and sports activities;

- preparing for the presidential tests;

MISSION: - formation of students' social and personal competencies and the ability to purposefully use the means and methods of physical culture to preserve and strengthen their health in order to prepare for professional activities; to withstand physical exertion, mental stress, and adverse factors in future work.

3.Mastering methods and means of physical culture to increase the body's adaptive reserves and improve health;

Department History

The Department of Physical Education was established in August 2025. It consisted of 13 teachers and 1 laboratory assistant. Among them, there were 1 associate professor, 1 assistant professor, 9 senior lecturers, and 2 assistant. In addition, there were 4 Honored Coaches of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1 Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1 Master of Sports of International Class, and 4 Masters of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In September 2025, the university commissioned a sports complex with a total area of 1,200 m2. This allowed the department to conduct training sessions and sports activities for students and staff.

Our Methods and Activity Priorities

Educational, Cultural, and Health-Promoting Activities of the Department:

Development of a positive attitude, interest, and motivation toward physical education and sports.

Improvement of students’ physical health through the expansion of motor skills and the development of professionally applied and methodological competencies.

Preparation for and participation in mass physical culture and health-related events, as well as sports competitions aimed at broad student engagement in physical activity.Integrated use of physical education and sports within the framework of general physical training.Enhancement of students’ physical and functional fitness levels.Preventive use of physical education for health improvement purposes.

Acquisition by students of essential knowledge in the fundamentals of psychological, pedagogical, medical, and biological monitoring, as well as in the methodology and organization of independent physical exercise and lifelong sports activities.

ØThe research activities of the Department of Physical Education cover a wide range of areas related to human development, health, and physical fitness.

The results of the department’s research activities are reflected in the publication of scholarly articles in peer-reviewed international journals, as well as in journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Department of Physical Education annually organizes scientific and methodological seminars covering various research areas. Currently, a teaching and methodological manual is being developed on the topic: “The Application of Health-Enhancing Practices to Improve Students’ Independent Work in Their Free Time.”

Faculty members of the Department of Physical Education actively participate in scientific and methodological seminars and sports events organized by the university, as well as in city, national, and international competitions.
