The main purpose of the Office is to coordinate and support scientific activity, develop external academic and scientific relations, and build an effective system of scientific information support for educational and research processes.

In its work, the Office of Science and External Relations cooperates with faculties, departments, research units of the university, as well as government bodies, scientific foundations, foreign partners, educational institutions, and research organizations.

Department of Science and Commercialization

The Department of Science and Commercialization provides organizational, methodological, and analytical support for the university’s research activity, as well as support for commercialization of research results.

The main functions of the department include
  • Coordinating the implementation of research projects funded through grant, program-targeted, and extra-budgetary financing.
  • Supporting applications for participation in research project and program competitions.
  • Monitoring R&D implementation and analyzing research performance and reporting indicators.
  • Organizing the protection and commercialization of intellectual property objects, including patents, copyright certificates, and know-how.
  • Cooperating with businesses and industrial partners on implementation and commercial use of research developments.
  • Participating in the formation of the university’s innovation ecosystem and the development of entrepreneurial activity in the research environment.

Department of International Cooperation and Academic Mobility

The Department of International Cooperation and Academic Mobility ensures the development of the university’s international scientific and educational relations and the expansion of academic mobility for students and faculty.

Department of Scientific Information Support

The Department of Scientific Information Support provides information and analytical support for the scientific journal “Vestnik KazUTB”.

The department’s work is focused on publishing and developing the scientific journal “Vestnik KazUTB”, as well as supporting the publication activity of faculty members and researchers.

The main functions of the department include
  • Organizational and editorial support for the scientific journal “Vestnik KazUTB”, including receiving, registering, reviewing, and preparing articles for publication.
  • Coordinating interaction with authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial board.
  • Ensuring that publications comply with national and international scientific standards.
  • Providing information support for publication activity of faculty and researchers.
