Department History

he Department of State and Foreign Languages was established in 2025, having separated from the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines.
The history of the department dates back to 2000. In that year, the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines was formed as a result of the reorganization of the Department of General and Historical Disciplines. This department included language disciplines and physical education.
Until 2013, it was known as the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines. In 2013, following an extended meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Study of the History of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a decision was made to rename it the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines.
In 2025, by decision of the Academic Council, the department was divided into three separate departments: the Department of State and Foreign Languages, the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, and the Department of Physical Education.
