The mission of the Department of Information Technologies is to train highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of modern IT technologies, capable of effectively solving professional tasks and contributing to the digital and innovative development of the country.

The educational activity of the department is based on global scientific experience and modern innovative teaching technologies. In the preparation process, active forms and methods of organizing the educational process are used, innovative approaches and student participation in research work are encouraged. The department develops partnerships with leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign scientific and educational centers, as well as with state and private organizations.

The Department of Information Technologies is a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies. It provides training for highly educated, fundamentally prepared, competitive specialists capable of working effectively in the dynamically developing world of digital technologies.

The Department of Information Technologies was established in August 2010. The educational activities of the department are carried out on the basis of the state license series KZ29LAA00008799 in the field of higher and postgraduate education, issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 18.04.2017 and valid indefinitely.

The Department of Information Technologies trains highly qualified specialists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of modern digital solutions. In its activities, the department combines fundamental training with practice-oriented learning that meets the current demands of the IT industry.
