About the faculty

In connection with the development of technical fields and the need to train highly qualified specialists who meet the challenges of the times, the new Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology was created in 2025.

The faculty is one of the university's key structural units, providing personnel training in the field of modern engineering solutions, information technology, manufacturing automation, and chemical technology and ecology.

The faculty comprises three departments: "Information Technology", "Computer Engineering and Automation", and "Chemistry, Chemical Technology and Ecology".

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology is a modern space for learning, research activity and professional development in one of the most promising fields of our time.

Mission

To become the leading engineering and technology faculty in the training of sought-after and competitive specialists possessing professional knowledge and practical skills in the field of information technology, automation, chemical processes and ecology.

Vision

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology is positioned as an innovative educational platform that develops on the basis of the integration of science, technology and education, oriented toward the priorities of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan.

Faculty goal

Training a new generation of highly qualified specialists capable of introducing modern technologies, ensuring the digital transformation of industries, and solving complex engineering tasks with regard for environmental sustainability and safety.

Faculty tasks
  • Development of a modern educational and laboratory base for the departments.
  • Expansion of the range of bachelor's and master's educational programs.
  • Raising the scientific level of the teaching staff and increasing the proportion of degree-holders.
  • Strengthening research activity through participation in grant and applied projects.
  • Increasing the number of students and graduates in the technical and IT fields.
  • Active cooperation with industrial enterprises and IT companies for the implementation of dual and project-based learning.
