Scientific Library

The main areas of the scientific library’s activity are supporting the university’s educational system, expanding information resources, improving the technological infrastructure, creating an effective information environment for readers, and enhancing the quality of information services.

Today, the scientific library serves as the information center of the university.

The scientific library maintains electronic information resources, including an electronic catalog created to expand user access, the database “Works of Scholars of JSC ‘Kazakh University of Technology and Business named after K. Kulazhanov’”, as well as various available databases and a collection of digitized (electronic) books.

The scientific library hosts information events such as “Department Day” and “Faculty Day”, as well as cultural and educational events.

Periodical publications

1. These Rules establish the procedure for organizing the activities of the university scientific library and the terms of use of the library collection.
2. The right to use the scientific library is granted to students, master’s students, doctoral students, and the teaching staff of the university.
3. Registration at the scientific library is carried out on the basis of an identity document or a student ID card. The reader is issued a reader’s card.
4. Readers are obliged to treat library materials with care, to prevent their damage, and not to make notes in them or tear out pages.
5. Books and educational and methodological materials are issued for temporary use through the loan department of the scientific library.
6. Materials borrowed on loan must be returned to the scientific library within the established deadlines.
7. In case of violation of the return deadlines, liability measures are applied to the reader in accordance with these Rules.
8. Rare collection editions, dissertations, reference literature, and periodicals are not issued on loan and may be used only in the reading room of the scientific library.
9. In the event of loss or rendering the received materials unusable, the reader is obliged to reimburse their cost.
10. In the scientific library, it is necessary to maintain public order and silence and to comply with the lawful requirements of the library staff.
11. For violation of these Rules, measures of temporary restriction or suspension of library services may be applied to the reader.
