Achieving gender equality and empowering all women. KazUTB regards this goal as part of the university’s educational, research and partnership agenda within the context of Agenda 2030.

KazUTB views gender equality not only as statistical parity, but also as the creation of an inclusive ecosystem in which each of its 7,393 students has equal access to self-fulfillment.

University activities

Educational Policy and Accessibility

The university is successfully overcoming gender stereotypes in career choices. The proportion of female students (43.4%) demonstrates the strong appeal of its educational programmes for women. The university runs career guidance aimed at overcoming barriers in STEM disciplines.

Women's Leadership and Representation

Female students form the active core of youth organisations, holding key positions in faculty councils and volunteer centres. Meetings with successful women scientists and entrepreneurs are integrated into the educational process.

Science and Innovation

Gender equality is a driver of the university's scientific productivity. The university encourages women's participation in grant programmes and research laboratories. The high proportion of women (43.4%) ensures a diversity of perspectives in research projects.

Social Infrastructure and Safety

A zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and harassment has been implemented. The university provides flexible arrangements for students combining their studies with family responsibilities.
