Responsible Consumption and Production
Ensuring the transition to sustainable consumption and production patterns. KazUTB regards this goal as part of the university’s educational, research and partnership agenda within the context of Agenda 2030.
KazUTB and Goal 12
Ensuring the transition to sustainable consumption and production patterns. KazUTB scientists and developers are working on technologies that reduce resource consumption and create sustainable product chains.
Research activity on Goal 12
Development of a technology for producing confectionery products based on dried powders of melon and fruit crops
An innovative approach to processing plant raw materials — drying and grinding into powder form while preserving beneficial properties — makes it possible to significantly extend the shelf life of products and reduce their cost by using local agricultural raw materials.
Commercialisation of an efficient technology for separating textile waste using yarn and nonwoven materials in production
The project aims to introduce and scale up an innovative technology for recycling textile waste to create competitive products and develop a sustainable industry in Kazakhstan. The planned production volume is up to 576 tonnes of products per year, with entry into the markets of the CIS countries.
